Two More Onesies

The first is "Peas in a Pod" from one of the books that Kim gave me for my birthday. The second one is a girl worm.

Pieced Blanket

So, this is the blanket all pieced together. I'm going to now just add a small border and piece it to a backside & batting. I already have someone in mind for this quilt. :)

Blocks

Here was another "quick" project that I did this weekend. I have seen a lot of books/sites with blocks, so I thought...I might as well! Adam was a sweetheart and closed the hole (from stuffing) by hand. He's a much better hand sewer than I am!

New Blanket

Since I have such a big amount of fabric to cut for my Sunbonnet Sue quilt, I needed a break and something quick to do. This is only half of what the quilt will look like, but I thought I'd include the unfinished project for fun. (Notice some birthday presents at use!!!)

Sunbonnet Sue Continued..

Top to Bottom: Steps 3, 2, 1. So, I have been working on this quilt in small amounts of time. I had hoped to be further, but it has been a very busy week. I started during Conference last weekend cutting the smaller strips. I sewed them in between the three "Sues" then too. Then, today, I have put the strips on the tops & bottoms and connected them together. Now, all I have to do is add the longer strips on the outside, then add the brown strips all of the way around and bind it to the backside and batting. So much more to go!!!!

Onezie with Bow

I made this onezie awhile ago, but am poorly well-trained in tying bows. So, I had Adam's Mom, Kim, tie the bow for me. :) Now, it is finally finished! (2 months later)

Sunbonnet Sue

I have had a blanket since a little girl that has the "Sunbonnet Sue" in blocks. I still love it and still use it because of who made it for me. It's had a hard life though and most of the girls are looking pretty shabby. So, I kept talking about fixing it, but then decided that I'd much rather make my own. So, I had Adam hold the quilt to the window, and I traced the girls exactly how they were on my quilt, and I started working on my "Sunbonnet Sue" quilt for a little girl we may one day have.
I love pink and brown at the moment, so I decided on those colors. Here are the two different types of squares I will use, and also what the layout will look like. I'm going to surround the squares with pink, and then the whole quilt will be surrounded with a brown border. Enjoy. I'll update more as I get along further. So, next weekend, I'll show you where I am at then. :)
