Garden...somewhat

We don't really have the opportunity to have a real garden where we are living now. For now, I've got plants all over the balcony in some beautiful pots.
This first picture is one of the many strawberry plants that I have. Those who know me best know that I love anything with strawberries at any time. So to be able to grow them and grow them well all year-round is so great. You can see how great this plant is growing just by how many strawberries were totally ripe. (And yes, they were delicious!)
Two of my green bell pepper plants. These are also really thriving.
One of the smaller green bell pepper plants.

Mario & Company

Our nieces have this fun obsession with all things Mario. They like to play the Mario games on the Wii with their parents, especially their dad. So, when thinking about their birthday gifts this year, I couldn't help but make them shirts with the characters.
This first one is of Mario and is for Ellie because she just loves Mario. Only she can play him and he is definitely her favorite.
The other is the Toad for Kayla. It sounds like because Mario is Ellie's favorite, then Kayla always has to play the Toad.
After sending these off to LA, their mom called and told me that as soon as they opened them, they had to put them on immediately and since they're long-sleeved and it was still super hot, they could only wear them for a little while. Hopefully they'll enjoy them now since it's cooling down.

Noah's Ark Blanket

I've been working on this quilt for sometime and have finally finished it. It was a lot of fun doing something so unique and creative.

Selling Onesies & Other Creations...

People ask me often when I am going to start selling some of the projects that I make. Well...that time has finally come and I figure I can start just based on what people need or ask of me. One of my good friends at my work asked me to make some of these for a shower that she's going to. I set up an Etsy account but it's going to be a bit before I finally put anything on there. So, for now, if there's anything you'd be interested in, let me know. You can email me at adamloni@gmail.com
The theme for the shower was "crab cove" so that's where the crab and seahorse are from.
These are just some other random onesies that I've made for some upcoming baby showers.
These are some onesies for my to-be-nephew. Their family loves Mario so, I made this along with t-shirts for the girls too.

Yummy Apron

One of my cousins getting married soon and we found these super cute ice cream dishes - so went with a theme. Here's an "ice cream" apron that I made to go along with her present. I especially love the pockets. I made sure that they were nice and big!

More Onesies...

This week, I've been working on a lot of onesies. Mostly for my friends' adorable little girl Olivia and also my future nephew.
I saw this at the saw (iron-on) and laughed so hard, so I had to use my 40% off coupon and get it!
One of my faves - can't be a cute Chihuahua!
Girls just love bags, hats, and shoes!
I was looking at a picture that I had and thought - absolutely! Cowboy boots!
One of my friends wanted to learn how to make these, so why not use some of my extras?
Okay, this onesie came as a personal request. So, calm down dear Aggies! :) I promise, I haven't switched teams! Just had to support one of my friends who went to the Y.

Baby Quilts

One of the projects that I've been working on is a baby Noah's Ark quilt. So, this is part of it as I'm working on it. All of the animals and the ark are applique.
One of the baby quilts that I made for a friend of mine. This is one of the simplest blanket projects. It's three layers of flannel sewn together with yarn blanket-stitched around the outside. Super easy, but really nice. A darker yarn makes it looked really finished.
Another baby quilt for another friend. Thought this fabric was really cute.

Disneyland Service Project!

One of the projects that we did this year was to participate in the Disneyland day of service. So along with Adam's parents and Maria, we each made quilts to get our free tickets. This is one of the quilts that we made. I had this great fabric that I loved and hadn't used yet. I thought it would be great for a teenager!
Adam helped me out with the ties on the quilt.

Jewelry with the YW!

One of the activity nights, the girls really wanted to learn to make jewelry, so we had one of the leaders come in and help us make these earrings. So, I decided to make these for Maria.

Emilee's Bridal Shower Card

My little sister, Emilee, was married this last December. So, for her bridal shower, I made these adorable cards as invites. Our theme was "firsts". This isn't the final project since it eventually said "1st" and had a cute little tiara of beads, but you get the idea. Love the Cricut!
